Origano essential oil can be used to:
Origano is rich in antioxidants and is said to contain powerful antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties. It has a very long use in traditional medicine for treating colds, indigestion and upset stomachs. It
is well known as a potent ingredient when it comes to reducing
infections, and has been used to decrease inflammation within the body.
The predominant healing compound
found in oregano oil, carvacrol, has widespread uses ranging from
treating allergies to protecting the skin. Carvacrol has been shown in
studies to help reverse or reduce bacterial infections, fungal
infections, parasites, viruses, inflammation, allergies,
tumors, indigestion and candida. To use Origanum oil topically for skin
issues, dilute one or two drops into a carrier oil of your choice. This
mixture can then be massaged directly onto the skin.
When diluted, Origanum can be applied to the skin for conditions including:
- Acne
- Athlete’s foot
- Oily skin
- Dandruff
- Canker sores
- Warts & ringworm
- Rosacea

- As
well as for insect and spider bites, muscle pain, and varicose veins.
